Responsibilities of Produce Stock Clerk:

• Ensures a clean and safe environment in the produce department, floral section, storage area, and work area by conducting thorough cleaning activities, which involve sanitizing shelves and products, keeping floors clear of liquid spills, and removing any unsafe debris.
• Stocks department employees oversee the floral area, undertaking responsibilities such as organizing and rotating merchandise, displaying products in an appealing manner, replenishing stock levels when necessary, adhering to the Produce Department's set layout for product placement, and ensuring the accuracy of tags and pricing.
• Supports customers by addressing their inquiries and helping with purchases and product selection, including selling and cross-promoting products to enhance the customer experience.
• Validates the precision of orders by examining the content, quantity, and condition of products.
• Monitors the point of sale signs, ensuring there is a mix of recipe cards, product coupons, promotional literature, and details on complementary food items.
• Encompasses the utilization of equipment such as cutting tools, weighing scales, packaging machines, compaction devices, waste disposal units, pallet handling systems, and manual carts.
• Taking part in pre-inventory preparation means tasks such as organizing back stock and verifying tag accuracy for products.
• Takes responsibility for executing the cut fruit and vegetable program.
