In the role of a Customer Service Clerk, responsibilities include taking and processing customer orders either in person or over the phone, as well as acquiring the requested products under the supervision of the department manager. Responsibilities of Customer Service Clerk:

• Ensures swift, effective, and amicable customer service by displaying empathy, thoughtfulness, and composure in all customer dealings and recognizing customers as the foremost individuals in the store.
• Welcomes and acknowledges customers in a pleasant manner, whether the interaction occurs within the designated section or elsewhere in the store.
• Puts in the effort to learn and use the names of customers during interactions.
• Accompanies customers to find specific items, retrieves out-of-reach products, and assists with loading or unloading heavy objects to fulfill their needs.
• Shows promptness in answering phone calls and delivers amiable and effective customer service, which includes accepting customer orders.
• Processes orders made by patrons at the counter.
• Partners with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a friendly work environment.
• Grasps the concept of following requisite cleanliness protocols and upholding a neat environment in the designated area.
• Reviews the overall quality and look of the food as an indicator of its freshness.
• Organizes pizza toppings like green peppers and onions for use.
• Sources bread from bakery vendors or other suppliers. Validates the items received to ensure they match the order specifications. Initiates the pre-baking of pizza crusts to prepare for display.
• Maintains an ample supply of product on hand.
• Prepares for the department's daily product necessities and ensures completion of tasks by replenishing products as needed.
• Catalogs old unresolved matters and establishes the essential elements necessary for product renewal.
• Oversees the department's register operations, receiving payments, giving out change, and executing necessary duties.
• Keeps the area clean by promptly getting rid of rubbish. Follows department and company regulations regarding personal hygiene and clothing closely.
• Complies with company policies and store-specific directives. Arrives punctually for assigned shifts.
• The department manager's requested product is being ordered.
• Produces pizza dough and breadsticks when required.
• Swaps the old product with a new one in the casing.
• Supports in alternative areas of the store based on demand.
• Undertakes extra work obligations and specific initiatives as necessary.

Qualifications of Customer Service Clerk:

• Equivalent to a high school education and a maximum of six months of similar experience required. Ability to effectively implement precise yet basic written or verbal directives and navigate through a few concrete variables.
• Skill in executing straightforward addition and subtraction exercises; imitating forms, enumerating, and notating.
• Exhibit the skill to grasp and comply with verbal or demonstrated commands; transcribe essential information; formally ask for supplies through oral or written communication.

Physical Requirements of Customer Service Clerk:

• Must be physically able to exert up to 20-25 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and exerting a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
• Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, and field of vision.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
