In a grocery store, the Produce Department Lead supervises the daily functions of the produce department, guaranteeing that fresh fruits and vegetables are sufficiently stocked, correctly displayed, and comply with quality standards.This role encompasses leadership, inventory management, and customer service, in addition to assisting team members and sustaining the efficiency of the department.
Responsibilities of Produce Department Lead:
- Manage department operations as per the established standard practices in the event of the department manager and assistant manager's absence.
- Abide by all company policies, procedures, and statutory obligations.
- Leverage retail store platforms to assist with tasks like Management Planning, Scheduling, CAO, and RF Unit functionalities.
- Interact with all co-workers in a just, respectful, and dignified manner.
- Meet all applicable Management Planning requirements and potentially surpass them.
- Build expertise in the product by acquiring thorough knowledge about its functionalities.
- Aid in the development of fellow colleagues through training sessions as designated.
