Role and Responsibilities of Inventory Associate:

As a Inventory Associate Associate, your key responsibilities will include delivering excellent customer service and maintaining top-tier merchandising standards within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. Your objectives will focus on increasing sales and reducing shrink through proficient inventory management and compliance with company standards.

• Keep customers excited by delivering rapid, amiable, and precise assistance.
• Show respect and assistance to coworkers in the workplace.
• Follow standard practice to maintain appropriate levels of Specialty Inventory Associate products, controlling inventory in the backroom and the arrangement on shelves.
• Follow the specified shelf placements as directed in the plan-o-grams.
• Guarantee the timely placement of recently received items and tags within a week, as per plan-o-grams for specific placement.
• Be responsible for overseeing the process of ordering, accepting, preparing, conditioning, and presenting merchandise according to company policies.
• Make use of business tools such as the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and procurement platform (CAO) for a more organized approach.
• Follow the regulations for food safety and workplace safety; detect and rectify any unsafe environments.
• It is essential to report all associate and customer accidents according to the specified procedures at Food Lion.
• Make sure to wear the Food Lion uniform to align with the dress code regulations set forth by the company.
• Engage in and complete the stipulated computer-focused and other training workshops.
• Carry out supplemental tasks as requested.

Required Skills and Experience of Inventory Associate:

• Having a high school diploma or a similar qualification is preferred.
• Exceptional at engaging with others, organizing tasks, communicating clearly, and delivering superior customer service.
• Expertise and readiness to acquire diverse tasks and technical skills needed for a job.
• Streamlining the problem-solving process through the application of technical insights.
• Conforming to the age requirements is a crucial aspect of the position.
• Competent in managing physical requirements with or without reasonable adjustments.
• Experienced in the use of computers and communication systems crucial for job functions.
