Job Summary of Pharmacy Intern:

You’ll have the opportunity to assist in providing expert medication, therapy management services, and immunizations. This position will allow you to enhance your skills while contributing to the health and wellness of our customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Pharmacy Intern:

• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy team members in providing the best patient experience in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist, complying with state, federal, and Stop & Shop policies.
• Assist with patient care services, including patient counseling and other health services like immunizations and medication therapy management.
• Use pharmacy dispensing software to process prescriptions and obtain patient/drug information.
• Register related sales in the point of sale/cash register and handle cash transactions.
• Support pharmacy department inventory management activities including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Model and deliver exceptional customer experience at all times.
• Perform duties as assigned in accordance with Stop & Shop policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience of Pharmacy Intern:

• Current student enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy program.
• Ability to administer vaccinations.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Pharmacy Intern license in good standing with the state board of pharmacy.
