Job Summary of Produce Team Associate:

As a Produce Team Associate, your role is to help maintain quality, freshness, safety, and visual appeal in the department, as well as assist customers, prepare products, and contribute to a positive shopping experience, all while reflecting Hannaford's commitment to superior service and fresh food standards.

Responsibilities of Produce Team Associate:

• Provide a friendly greeting and aid customers in finding and deciding on products.
• Adhere to prescribed protocols when conducting assigned restocking, culling, and switching processes.
• Carry out tasks in accordance with standards and quality objectives for the packaging, slicing, wrapping, and scaling of products.
• Complete designated cleaning tasks in order to maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards.
• Achieve department goals by ensuring adherence to the highest standards of product quality.
• Reach and maintain the productivity goals outlined in the Management Planning strategy.
• Enhance comprehension of different offerings within the produce aisle.
• Uphold a positive customer service standard by offering friendly, supportive, and attentive help.
• Take part in the training program for recently hired associates as instructed.
• Comply with requests from management to undertake other functions and duties.

Physical Requirements of Produce Team Associate:

• Frequently manage objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift loads of up to 75 lbs.
• Sustain standing and walking without interruption.
• Consistently bending over, reaching out, grasping, and lifting at or above the waist mark.
• Raise loads of up to 30 lbs to shoulder height or above as required.
• Undertake tasks in cold temperatures for periods up to 20 minutes.
• Use hands for the manipulation of fruits, tools, packaging, and cleaning items.
• The role requires the ability to deal with both food and cleaning items as part of the job functions.
• Satisfy the department's established volume and activity criteria.
