Produce Clerk

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Produce Clerk, you will support daily operations in the produce department and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Your responsibilities include:

• Assist the department manager in achieving established sales and profit goals.
• Monitor and maintain quality assurance standards for all produce items.
• Create a safe, clean, and organized department that enhances the customer experience.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise fresh produce to ensure optimal freshness and visual appeal.
• Engage customers with product knowledge, answer questions, and offer suggestions.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures to ensure compliance.
• Support the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent service.

• Attention to detail with a focus on product quality, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise; maintain a safe work area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in grocery, produce, or food service.
• Basic knowledge of produce handling, rotation (FIFO), and merchandising.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
