Role and Responsibilities of Retail Merchandise Associate:

The primary focus of the Retail Merchandise Associate Associate position is to enhance customer satisfaction and uphold top-notch merchandising practices within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. Your duties will revolve around boosting revenue and reducing shrinkage by maintaining accurate inventory levels and complying with organizational protocols.

• Ensure ongoing customer enthusiasm by offering prompt, welcoming, and precise support.
• Demonstrate politeness and aid towards fellow employees.
• Manage Specialty Retail Merchandise Associate inventory levels as per standard protocol, monitoring both backroom stock and the condition of items on display.
• Follow the designated shelf arrangements as prescribed in the plan-o-grams.
• Ensure the prompt stocking of recently received items and tags within a week, in accordance with plan-o-grams for proper placement.
• Ensure adherence to company policies when managing the procurement, delivery, preparation, quality control, and exhibition of products.
• Leverage internal tools such as the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and purchasing system (CAO) for optimized performance.
• Abide by the rules regarding food safety and workplace safety; identify and rectify any unsafe environments.
• Follow the proper procedures outlined by Food Lion for documenting any accidents involving staff or patrons.
• Adhere to the prescribed standards of attire by wearing the designated Food Lion uniform.
• Finish all necessary training, including online and in-person sessions.
• Fulfill supplemental responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Experience of Retail Merchandise Associate:

• Completion of high school or an equivalent level of education is desired.
• Exceptional interpersonal, coordination, communication, and client relations proficiencies.
• Proficiency and eagerness to grasp multiple tasks and technical qualifications for a job.
• Enhancing the process of finding solutions through the use of technical knowledge.
• Candidates must adhere to the minimum age prerequisites for the position.
• Capable of satisfying physical criteria with or without suitable support.
• Adept at operating computers and communication systems necessary for job requirements.
