Job Summary of Dairy Stock Associate:
The Dairy Stock Associate is responsible for assisting the Dairy/Frozen Manager in the successful operation and profitability of the Dairy/Frozen department.The Dairy Stock Associate is responsible for stocking, rotating, and maintaining products in the dairy and frozen departments to ensure freshness, product availability, and visual appeal. This role involves unloading deliveries, checking expiration dates, organizing displays, and ensuring accurate pricing and labeling.
Responsibilities of Dairy Stock Associate:
- Focusing primarily on offering world-class customer service.
- Practicing integrity, responsibility, and excellence while following all policies and rules.
- Establishing attractive, rich, and seamless sections for shopping.
- Collaborating with the department manager to procure items for the dairy and frozen sections and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assisting department managers with the management of margin, COGs, and department profitability, which involves minimizing shrinkage and enhancing purchasing effectiveness.
- Authentifying that the quality and status of all in-stock merchandise adhere to company guidelines.
- Processing custom orders and conducting subsequent updates.
- Merchandise racks, endcap units, and vibrant display arrangements.
- Aiding in coordinating and actively taking part in labeling, displaying, repositioning, tidying up, marking down, replenishing, stocking, and storing additional items.
- Overseeing the training and task progress of department employees through assignment and regular check-ins.
- Demonstrating products actively involves engaging with the audience, while passive demos focus on showcasing the product without interaction.
- Engaging with the department managers to tackle performance challenges in the department.
- Aid in overseeing the initiation and termination of store functions, encompassing duties such as keeping track of the Daily Sales Report (DSR) and managing cash transactions along with fulfilling cashier closeout obligations.
- Engaging in register activities involves supervising backup cashiers, processing customer refunds, resolving customer issues, and managing register shift substitutions, which may include covering scheduled breaks.
- Maintaining a secure environment for customers and employees.
- Adhering to company guidelines when responding to customer questions, which may entail incorporating health-supportive language or highlighting nutritional support.
- Continually enriching awareness of products.
- Making the most of SAP and inventory management software, while also using email and other IS applications as required.
- Working a schedule based on store needs which includes evenings, weekends, holidays. Position requires working five days, 40 hours per week and attending mandatory store meetings.
- The position involves limited responsibilities as a manager on duty and is not meant to be the primary manager overseeing the store.
Qualifications of Dairy Stock Associate:
- Individuals who hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience working in a retail or grocery store is preferred, and candidates with exposure to natural foods will be given extra consideration.
- Previous year of supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Meeting the mandatory criteria by passing food safety training courses and certifications as per regulatory obligations and staying compliant by keeping certifications current and properly registered when necessary.
