Job Summary of Cash Desk Coordinator:
Successful operation of a cash register and check-out stand in accordance with front-end procedures and company regulations is part of a Cash Desk Coordinator's role. Additionally, Cash Desk Coordinator are tasked with guaranteeing customer approval through the provision of immediate and considerate service.
Responsibilities of Cash Desk Coordinator:
- Perform a detailed and swift scanning of grocery purchases.
- Recognize the departments and modifiers that do not align with scanning procedures.
- Implemented the scan and bag approach to enhance efficiency, ensuring items were packed as per the customer's specifications.
- Verify the cash in the drawer at the beginning of the shift and maintain its security throughout the day.
- Accurately manage a payment method and adhere to the organization’s regulations on financial control and transparency.
- Ensure that void processes are carried out in the correct manner.
- correctly distinguish between various types of fruits and vegetables and input the correct identification codes.
- Uphold security protocols such as policies on theft prevention, guidelines for employee purchases, monitoring hidden items in baskets, and regulating rumors within the organization.
- Familiarity with appropriate methods for handling store inventory.
- Understanding the contents of the weekly ad and Hot Sheet deals.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting and appreciating customers in a professional manner.
- Adhering to the guidelines set forth in the company's Employee Handbook.
- Help with tidying up the front end of the house.
- Aid in replenishing stock or maintaining store presentation as required.
Qualifications of Cash Desk Coordinator:
- Must have dexterity in hands to be able to scan/key groceries.
- Must have strong communication skills to ensure excellent customer service.
- Strong mathematical skills required to run the registers.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty five (25) pounds up to forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Must be able to stand upright for the majority of your scheduled work shift.
