Produce Stocker

Company Overview:

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Part-Time Grocery Stocker to join their team and play a vital role in store operations. As a Grocery Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring shelves are well-stocked, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with inventory and checkout procedures. This position allows you to actively contribute to the mission of offering high-quality, natural, and organic products to customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Grocery Stocker, you will provide excellent service and support the daily operations of the grocery department. Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver top-quality customer service to every shopper in the store.
• Receive, store, and manage inventory for dry goods, beverages, household items, and bulk merchandise.
• Follow prescribed practices for handling products, including maintaining proper time and temperature controls.
• Maintain product freshness by rotating back stock using the first-in, first-out method.
• Assist the Grocery Department Head in ensuring product signage is accurate and up to date.
• Follow inventory management practices established by the organization.
• Support front-end staff by scanning merchandise, completing transactions, and carefully bagging purchases.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, grip, and carry objects weighing 50 75 pounds frequently.
• Capability to bend, crouch, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in cold environments, including refrigerated areas, freezers, and storage spaces.
• Use all senses (sight, hearing, smell) to interpret labels, assess product quality, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in retail or grocery stocking is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a part-time position with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour. Weekly hours are up to 24, with one required weekend shift. Typical shifts include Monday 12:00 8:30 PM, Friday 12:00 8:30 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM 2:00 PM.
