Role and Responsibilities:
As a Gas Station Clerk at Giant, you will ensure customers have a smooth, efficient, and pleasant experience at our gas stations. You will assist customers with fuel and store purchases, maintain the station’s cleanliness and safety, and support daily operations.
Greet customers warmly and assist with fuel purchases and in-store needs.
Accurately handle transactions for fuel, merchandise, and other station services, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized gas station, including floors, pumps, windows, and parking areas.
Restock store items such as snacks, drinks, and car-related products, ensuring proper inventory levels.
Follow safety protocols for fuel handling, pump operation, and waste disposal; report hazards promptly.
Provide customers with information about promotions, services, and store offerings.
Resolve customer concerns efficiently while maintaining company policies and a positive experience.
Assist team members and support station operations as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Attention to detail in transactions, stocking, and maintaining a clean station.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift up to 40 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Customer-focused with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Team player willing to collaborate and support station goals.
Safety-conscious and able to follow company protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service experience, preferably in retail or food service.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and operating gas station equipment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
