Role and Responsibilities of Grocery Merchandise Associate:

In the role of a Grocery Merchandise Associate Associate, you are expected to excel in customer service delivery and maintain exceptional merchandising standards within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. Your main objectives will involve increasing sales and minimizing losses by proficiently managing inventory levels and adhering to company policies.

• Keep customers engaged and satisfied by providing quick, personable, and precise service.
• Exhibit good manners and assistance to your coworkers.
• Ensure that Specialty Grocery Merchandise Associate product quantities are kept at the correct levels by following standard practices, and by managing the storage area and shelf organization.
• Comply with the prescribed shelf distributions as indicated in the plan-o-grams.
• Guarantee the timely placement of new merchandise and tags within one week of arrival, following plan-o-grams for guidance.
• Abide by company regulations when coordinating the acquisition, reception, readiness, presentation, and showcasing of goods.
• Employ company tools like the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and procurement platform (CAO) to streamline processes.
• Comply with food safety and workplace safety protocols; recognize and remedy any risky conditions.
• Ensure that all associate and customer accidents are reported in accordance with the guidelines set by Food Lion.
• Ensure compliance with the dress code expectations by donning the approved Food Lion uniform.
• Meet the training requirements, which involve computer-based and supplementary courses.
• Carry out other duties as instructed.

Required Skills and Experience of Grocery Merchandise Associate:
