Job Summary of Retail Stock Clerk:

As a retail stock clerk at Hy-Vee, your duties will include checking the merchandise's condition and appearance for freshness. Create or adhere to a production list and make sure a sufficient quantity of products is available. Responsibilities of Retail Stock Clerk:

• Implements a customer-focused approach by providing speedy, personalized, and caring service that underscores the significance of customers in the store environment.
• Maintains a friendly and approachable attitude towards customers by offering warm greetings and smiles, regardless of the location within the store.
• Assisting customers by showing them to their desired products, obtaining items that are unreachable, and aiding in heavy lifting tasks. Keeping track of and passing on any customer feedback or requests is an essential part of the job. Carrying out a variety of tasks to improve the overall shopping experience is also a key component of customer assistance
• Proactively answers phone calls and offers friendly and helpful assistance to customers seeking guidance. Collaborates with fellow workers to ensure customer delight and a positive work ambiance.
• Engaged in tasks such as unloading trucks, opening containers, stocking shelves, organizing overstock on risers, and rotating merchandise.
• Monitors for miss-picked items, reviews product outs, wrong deliveries, etc. Organizes stock for greatest efficiency, cleans and restocks damaged items. Tags the shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers. Reports all new or different items for the scanning coordinator for input into the system.
• Adheres unwaveringly to department and company guidelines regarding personal cleanliness and dress. Follows company policies and adheres to specific store guidelines with precision.
• Maintains timeliness in attendance, fulfilling the required hours of work as scheduled.

Qualification of Retail Stock Clerk:

• The individual must be adept at practical issue resolution, managing a multitude of variables with some level of uniformity, and correctly understanding and executing instructions.
• Capability to handle arithmetic calculations with precision, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• It is vital to have the capability to understand and comply with verbal or demonstrated directives, write down identifying information, and orally or in writing request necessary supplies.
• High school or equivalent experience. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements of Retail Stock Clerk:
