Responsibilities of Deli Crew Member:

At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Deli Crew Member is tasked with:

• Guiding customers in selecting nutritious meal options by preparing fresh and uncomplicated dishes
• Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the correct preparation, packaging, and arrangement of Deli goods, all while maintaining the cleanliness of the Deli department
• Handling the refilling, organization, and alteration of products and presentations
• Organizing personalized requests and creating festive spreads
• Following company regulations and procedures while using deli equipment like meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other machinery necessary for the operation
• Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the deli area and equipment involves activities such as organizing shelves and products, ensuring spill-free floors, removing hazardous debris from the ground, and sweeping regularly
• Recording, assessing, and accepting deliveries to verify the accuracy of shipping, quality control, and temperature requirements

• The role mandates being capable of lifting and moving a product vertically or horizontally, weighing up to 70 lbs., over a range of 4 to 60 inches, for distances of up to 20 feet without the need for mechanical aid, for a period of up to 4 hours
• The job mandates being able to stand without interruption for a maximum of 4 hours and a total of 8 hours in one shift.
• Conduct general housekeeping duties in the department by cleaning and sanitizing work areas like tables, floors, walls, and refrigeration units.
• Be in charge of the slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; assist in the maintenance of all tools for safe operations.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures policies, and procure and maintain a Food Handlers authorization
• Be capable of operating in a spectrum of temperatures, from chillier climates to freezer conditions.
• Any relevant responsibilities as instructed.
