Role and Responsibilities

As a Retail Courtesy Clerk, you will be the friendly face that ensures every customer enjoys a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. Your role involves assisting shoppers, keeping the front-end area organized, and supporting team members to maintain efficient store operations.

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers and assisting them at checkout.
• Bag groceries accurately and safely to protect products and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Address customer questions and guide them to the correct departments or associates.
• Retrieve, organize, and return shopping carts and baskets from parking areas and entrances.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized store front to promote a positive shopping environment.
• Assist with general store duties such as price verification, light restocking, and returning items to shelves.
• Work collaboratively with team members across departments to support daily operations.
• Carry out additional tasks as needed to help maintain a safe and efficient store environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Attention to detail with the ability to handle groceries carefully and efficiently.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, push or pull carts, and perform light lifting as needed.

• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to think quickly and resolve customer concerns in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a retail, grocery, or customer service environment is beneficial but not required.
• Basic knowledge of store operations, product organization, and safety procedures.
