Job Summary of Customer Service Crew Leader:

The Customer Service Crew Leader is responsible for directing front-end activities, assisting team members, and ensuring customers receive prompt, friendly service. Duties involve assigning responsibilities, supporting cashier and service desk operations, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, and addressing customer concerns with care and professionalism.

Responsibilities of Customer Service Crew Leader:

  • Make sure to observe and adhere to all company guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a well-groomed and orderly personal demeanor following the company's personal appearance protocol.
  • Provide front end and service desk/kiosk associates with specific tasks to work on during quiet times as laid out in the Service Leader Assignment Sheets
  • Aid in unique tasks and carry out additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors.
  • Commit to upholding all safety standards mandated by the company.
  • Inform us promptly of any equipment in need of repairs or maintenance.
  • Clear the workspace of any obstructions or dangers to enhance safety measures.
  • Follow security guidelines by staying attentive and being cognizant of customers' behaviors and actions.
  • Report any atypical behavior to the manager or security personnel.
  • Make sure to keep the front-end change drawer protected by locking it whenever it is left unattended.
  • Consistently comply with store policies and state and local health regulations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards regularly.
  • Regularly fulfill roles involving cashiering and bagging
  • Customarily perform tasks at the service desk and kiosk and, with the relevant training, execute duties associated with bookkeeping
  • Execute any other tasks as mandated.

Qualifications of Customer Service Crew Leader:

  • Strong communication competencies coupled with outstanding customer service aptitude.
  • In order to engage in specific work responsibilities, individuals must meet the specified age criteria, which is usually 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated capability and interest in learning different tasks and technical prerequisites for the role.
  • Confirmed proficiency in the technical aspects of cashier and service desk/kiosk tasks.
  • Elevate customer service by providing superior support and handling challenges swiftly and with a positive attitude.
  • Create efficient work schedules for front-end and service desk/kiosk employees to meet business traffic demands and lessen customer disruptions.
  • Perform cash pickups and exchange services as needed, ensuring proper documentation and recording of each transaction.
  • Confirm the customer IDs provided and follow the store regulations relating to check acceptance and the retail of tobacco and alcoholic beverages.
  • Grant effortless refund services for patrons and team members while implementing relevant warranties
  • Keep an eye on the performance of all duties and roles of front-end and service desk/kiosk associates as specified by the Customer Service Manager
  • Engage with all colleagues in a just, respectful, and dignified manner.
  • Acknowledge successes and offer constructive advice for further development.
  • The ability to fulfill the physical demands of the job is crucial, even with accommodations if needed.

Physical Requirements of Customer Service Crew Leader:

  • Execute repetitive tasks using your hands and arms while standing or walking throughout the shift.
  • Engage in the continuous bending and lifting of items weighing up to 15 pounds, with frequent lifting of 25 pounds and occasional lifting of 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Undertake responsibilities in inclement weather as the situation demands.
  • Round up as many as five shopping carts and push them to designated spots.
  • Skilled in managing various substances commonly associated with cleaning materials, packaging items, fresh fruits, vegetables, indoor plants, and household cleaners.
  • Possess the necessary visual sharpness for verifying identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written information.
