Warehouse Associate

Roles and Duties

• Safely and precisely pick customer orders and package them onto pallets. Meet the weekly standards for productivity and accuracy by appropriately wrapping the pallets
• Prior to commencing work, conduct pre-shift inspections on the equipment and operate an electric pallet jack safely
• Gently relocate merchandise from racks onto pallets under the direction of order-selecting software and tools
• Double-check that the correct merchandise has been selected and is without any damage
• Timely deliver goods to the correct dock space while also shrink wrapping palletized orders for protection
• Join forces to clean aisles by removing debris, stack unoccupied pallets in aisle locations, and bring pallet jacks back to the charging area

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work comfortably in environments spanning from freezing to sweltering conditions is essential
• Repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products weighing between 20 to 80 pounds, with the demand to move 1,000 or more cases of merchandise per shift

Qualifications:

• Fluency in the English language is required to attend training sessions, participate in discussions, receive coaching on safety procedures and job responsibilities, comprehend labels, and input information on reports if necessary
• Competent in working night shifts that extend beyond 8 hours, predominantly set for Sunday through Thursday, with potential requirements for weekends and holidays
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience in picking sizeable orders within a warehouse or distribution center atmosphere
• Candidates who have worked with a motorized pallet jack before are preferred for the role
