Produce Stocker

Job Summary of Produce Stocker:

Support the maintenance and operations of the Produce Department by overseeing the freshness, stocking levels, and attractive arrangement of products to enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities of Produce Stocker:

• Effectively assess and relay information about product quality, quantity, and freshness to maintain transparency and accuracy in communication.
• Ensure products are ready for purchase in the sales area by preparing them with trimming, packaging, weighing, and pricing
• Exhibit merchandise in a clean and attractive presentation.
• Maintain the freshness levels expected for the counters.
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment, with a focus on organizing the back area and sales floor.
• Be attentive to the case temperatures and notify the designated manager immediately if there are any temperature discrepancies.
• Foster healthy customer relationships by offering timely and courteous service.
• Abide by the policies and protocols established for the department.
• Practice the clean as you go principle for a spotless and health-conscious space.
• Acquaint yourself with the product and its functionalities.
• Offer a cordial welcome to all individuals and remain watchful of their interactions.
• Observe and respect all protocols detailed in the Employee Handbook
• Support in the unloading process of goods from a delivery truck.
• Convey stock to designated coolers and storage areas.
• Track inventory of goods and communicate with the Produce Manager regarding order placements.

Qualifications of Produce Stocker:

• Basic math skills and ability to accurately count product and match against invoices.
• Must have strong communication skills for assisting the customers.
• Must have dexterity in hands to enable trimming and packaging of produce.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in their specified areas.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
