Role and Responsibilities of Grocery Stock Associate:

Your crucial responsibilities as a Grocery Stock Associate include offering quality customer service in the Center Store Department, upholding standards outlined in the standard practice manual, optimizing sales through exceptional customer service, and minimizing shrinkage through the proper utilization of standard practices:

• Offer speedy, friendly, and precise customer service to cultivate a favorable shopping atmosphere.
• Follow the prescribed procedures by keeping shelves, shelf markers, and exhibits in a clean and orderly manner.
• Arrange merchandise on shelves based on price tags to guarantee that only items fit for sale are displayed.
• Comply with the company's guidelines concerning the ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and presentation of merchandise.
• Utilization of corporate tools such as the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) is recommended.
• Conform to all the company policies, guidelines, and established best practices.
• Stay in accordance with the regulations for Food Safety and Workplace Safety measures.
• Note and rectify unsafe conditions, as well as offer assistance in accident reporting when obligatory.
• Ensure you are in compliance by wearing the Food Lion uniform and presenting yourself professionally.
• Successfully undertake Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and instructional materials.

Required Skills and Experience of Grocery Stock Associate:

• It is recommended to hold a high school diploma or have an equivalent certification.
• Exceptional abilities in interpersonal interactions, organization, and effective communication.
• Ability and interest in acquiring proficiency in multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Proficiency in addressing issues and adeptly applying technical knowledge.
• Meeting the minimum age criteria for job functions is a key requirement.
