Job Summary of Meat & Deli Clerk:

It is crucial to maintain the freshness, accurate labeling, and attractive display of products in the Meat Department to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities of Meat & Deli Clerk:

• Help with the unloading and organizing of the delivered items.
• Transfer items to stock areas for safekeeping.
• Unpack crates and assign accurate pricing to products as required.
• Maintain full stock levels on store shelves based on assigned tag allocations.
• Help with setting up store showcases and arranging meat bunker products.
• Rotate perishable goods and remove items that are past their expiration date when necessary.
• Regulate the amount of compromised goods and manage them according to organizational guidelines.
• Help with the sanitation and tidying of the meat processing room while on duty.
• Ensure the assigned section is appropriately arranged before finishing your work shift.
• Follow the rules and regulations that have been set for each area within the organization.
• Extend greetings to individuals visiting the store and maintain a watchful eye on their actions.
• Follow the company's dress code policy to present a well-groomed look.
• Adhere to the company policies specified in the Employee Handbook.
• The program ensures the maintenance of prices and the protection of products through strategic measures.
• Managing tidiness in sales and rear premises.

Qualifications of Meat & Deli Clerk:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
