Whole Foods Market is hiring a Store Support Supervisor (Customer Service, Front End Support) for a full-time role. This leadership position supports the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) in managing day-to-day operations, supervising team members, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while maintaining Whole Foods Market's standards and values.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Store Support Supervisor, you will oversee Store Support Team Members, assist with scheduling, and ensure smooth departmental flow. You will also support training, problem resolution, and operational excellence across the store.
- Administer and distribute tasks to the team supporting the store.
- Assist the Team Trainer in educating and mentoring new Team Members using training checklists and instructional resources.
- Keep shelves and cases organized, stocked, and rotated properly.
- Manage customer challenges with courtesy and efficiency.
- Monitor performance, attendance, and team concerns; escalate issues to leadership when needed.
- Ensure consistent adherence to retail standards while embodying the core values of Whole Foods Market.
- Promote a collaborative mindset, respect, and a positive atmosphere within the team.
- Guide team members through constructive feedback, evaluations, and support for development.
- Maintain awareness of customer needs and lead the team to deliver top-quality service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Store Support operational procedures and policies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build teamwork and make effective decisions.
- Extensive knowledge of products and awareness of new product launches.
- Hands-on expertise in regulatory and safety compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, email platforms, and operations-related software.
- Strong mathematical skills to optimize financial outcomes and manage inventory effectively.
- At least 12 months of retail experience.
Workload Expectations and Environmental Factors:
- Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for 6 8 hours per shift.
- Bend, twist, crouch, and stretch as part of daily tasks.
- Work in wet, cold, and hot environments.
- Safely use FDA-approved cleaning solutions as required.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate tools and equipment such as box cutters, pallet lifters, and industrial machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.10, based on experience.
