Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Associate, we will look to you to develop, lead and coach a service conscious pharmacy team who will consistently build relationships with patients by exceeding their needs and providing safe, accurate and efficient patientcare to achieve optimal patient, team member and company outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess between one and three years of experience, with at least one year in the pharmacy sector, and a minimum of three months of licensed pharmacist experience
- The ideal candidate will possess experience in supervising others
- This job necessitates a Bachelor's Degree as the educational qualification
- Pharmacy professionals must meet certain criteria, which include obtaining immunization certification, maintaining a valid CPR certification, being licensed, and having an NPI number
- Weight lifting specification: Up to 25 pounds permitted
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and assist with the secure and efficient distribution of all patient orders by adhering to all quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate exemplary patient care by honoring, involving, and enthusiastically fulfilling all patient demands, which may involve providing guidance and skillfully resolving issues.
- Perform all the duties of a Pharmacist, including but not limited to, interpret, fill and refill prescriptions for medications/durable medical equipment, reviewing all clinical aspects of the prescription; maintaining up to date patient profiles; verifying patient receives accurate medications/durable medical equipment.
- Demonstrate commitment to following organizational protocols, as well as state and federal laws, through coaching and hands-on scenarios.
- Enhance the team and patient experience through careful organization of schedules, appropriate delegation of tasks, and effective utilization of equipment and supplies.
- Ensure proper inventory control by tracking daily reports, conducting physical inventory checks, and overseeing the handling of medications and supplies to meet patient demands and maximize revenue.
- Work in conjunction with the Supermarket team, consisting of the Pharmacy District Leader, Corporate Pharmacy team, Store Leader, and Regional Business Leader, to optimize operations and drive profitability.
- Control, oversee, and manage the processes of selecting, training, developing, assessing, appreciating, and empowering staff to ensure consistent involvement and enhancement of departmental operations.
- Ensure the workspace remains clean and sterile to meet both company policies and the regulatory standards at different governmental levels.
- Review and assess the suitable service and business indicators to assist in creating action plans for enhancing results.
- Wrap up all needed audits and paperwork
- Supervise team members by giving direct oversight, coaching, and feedback in line with the proper procedures.
- Establish and look after a conducive setting in the workplace that fosters the well-being of all employees.
- Administer immunizations and engage in clinical services to enhance patient outcomes and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist in mentoring and coaching new team members in the Pharmacy Lead position to ensure they are proficient in executing all company initiatives and programs.
- Keep yourself informed about the latest pharmaceutical industry updates, medications, and therapeutic innovations.
- Retain professional competency and service acumen while advocating for constructive transformations in the pharmacy sector to improve patient care and business performance.
- Build and maintain professional rapport with various external contacts, including medical professionals and vendors.
- Accomplish the duties of a Pharmacy Technician as mandated.
