Role and Responsibilities:

The Grocery Store Helper plays an important role in delivering a positive customer experience by providing fast, accurate, and friendly service at checkout. This role focuses on careful grocery handling, assisting customers, and maintaining an organized front-end area. Responsibilities include:

• Greet, assist, and thank customers with courtesy and professionalism.
• Unload customer items at checkout and bag them properly to prevent damage.
• Assist customers with loading groceries into vehicles when needed.
• Retrieve and organize carts from the parking lot and store perimeter.
• Verify product pricing across store departments when requested.
• Replenish and use front-end supplies responsibly to minimize waste.
• Return misplaced or unwanted items to the correct department.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized checkout lanes and cart areas.
• Report hazards, equipment issues, or suspicious behavior to management.
• Support loss prevention by reporting theft or policy violations.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by store leadership.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must meet the company’s minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Capable of following both written and verbal directions.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions while retrieving carts.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
