Bakery Associate

Job Summary of Bakery Associate:

To support the Bakery Department in its functions. A Bakery Associate offers outstanding customer service by aiding clients and overseeing the daily activities within the bakery division. Responsibilities include getting baked goods ready, packaging, tagging, and replenishing items like bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

Responsibilities of Bakery Associate:

• Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves.
• Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily.
• Wrap, package, and price all products accurately and legibly.
• Maintain the regular cleaning and sanitation program established by company policies.
• Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Greet all customers and be observant to your surroundings.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Assist in baking of products.
• Assist in taking a cake order for customers.
• Assist in unloading and properly putting away merchandise as it is delivered.

Qualifications of Bakery Associate:

• Effective customer service requires proficient communication abilities.
• Proficient manual skills are essential for wrapping and packaging items.
• Basic literacy skills are essential for correctly labeling and valuing merchandise.
• The requirement entails the capability to raise weights up to fifty (50) pounds when necessary.
