As a Grocery Team Member, you will play an essential role in supporting the grocery department by receiving, stocking, and merchandising products to ensure a fresh and inviting shopping experience. Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stock grocery products including shelves, bulk bins, frozen, and dairy cases
• Maintain clean, organized, and appealing displays through front-facing and rotation of products
• Monitor product quality by checking codes, preventing spoilage, and communicating waste to supervisors and buyers
• Assist with sampling programs by keeping sample areas clean and well-stocked
• Complete required documentation such as spoilage, temperature checks, and inventory worksheets
• Support inventory management through periodic stock checks
• Provide excellent customer service with friendly, timely responses and suggestive selling techniques
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations and store policies
• Perform opening, mid-day, and closing duties as assigned to maintain accuracy of signage and pricing
• Report safety hazards immediately to maintain a secure working environment
• Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training and store initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

• No prior retail experience required—training will be provided
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
• Ability to learn about a wide variety of grocery products and proactively assist customers
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for 6-8 hours per shift
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Passion for natural and healthy foods aligned with Whole Foods Market’s mission

Salary

The wage range for this role is $16.00 to $25.40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, team members who successfully complete their first 90 days may be eligible for a base pay increase.
