Cashier

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, processing customer purchases with accuracy and speed while delivering outstanding service. Your ability to engage with customers, handle transactions, and maintain a smooth checkout experience will be vital to our store's success. Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout the transaction process.
• Accurately scan items and collect payments for goods and services.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
• Bag groceries carefully and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor checkout area to prevent shrinkage and maintain security.
• Handle cash, make change, and keep the cash register balanced.
• Respond to customer inquiries about products and assist with locating items.
• Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to promote a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of company orientation and required trainings including Basics of Safety, Produce Certification, Alcohol Seller's Training, and Checker Training.
• Ability to identify fresh produce accurately.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving ability to handle customer concerns effectively.
• Physical capability to lift moderately heavy items and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to stand for up to 3 hours while maintaining high productivity and efficiency.
