This position involves learning and executing the daily operations of a retail location, supporting store leadership, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. It includes hands-on training with experienced leaders to gain knowledge in staffing, inventory, food safety, merchandising, and customer service. The individual will contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked environment, while developing skills for future leadership opportunities within the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Supervisor:
Offer a warm reception to visitors to promote a welcoming atmosphere.
Offer support in running store operations by gaining knowledge and assisting in scheduling, advising, and training staff members.
Oversee merchandise inventory and restock products to maintain adequate stock levels and orderly shelving.
Enforce guidelines pertaining to food safety, quality oversight, and merchandising regulations in culinary outlets.
Promote cleanliness throughout the store by regularly sanitizing and organizing the coffee stations, food preparation areas, and restroom facilities.
Effectively manage cash transactions at the register and assist with relevant financial processes.
Support in preparing for events and meetings, and help ensure the store is ready for weekends and holidays.
Make necessary trips to aid neighboring store locations or to conduct deposit drop-offs.
Accomplish duties as designated by store management or supervisory team.
Qualifications and Experience of Retail Supervisor:
An individual must have obtained a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent.
Previous one-year experience in retail, food service, or guest service is mandatory.
Applicants with prior leadership experience in a relevant environment are desired.
Possession of ServSafe or food safety certification is optional, but it can be beneficial.
Skilled at interacting with guests and coworkers in a busy environment.
Reflecting vigorous energy, flexibility, and an eagerness to support the team’s requirements.
It is helpful to be familiar with basic computer tasks.
