Cash Desk Attendant

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Cash Desk Attendant, you will play an important role in customer satisfaction and store efficiency. Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers with a pleasant and professional attitude.
• Accurately process transactions using cash, credit cards, debit cards, coupons, and loyalty rewards.
• Assist customers with product-related questions and offer suggestions to meet their needs.
• Follow company guidelines for restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized cash register area.
• Verify cash drawer amounts and follow cash-handling procedures to reduce risks.
• Promote Kroger offerings such as rewards programs and customer feedback opportunities.
• Report pricing discrepancies, safety concerns, or theft issues according to company policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and team-oriented work environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills, including counting and calculations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain professional under pressure.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in cashier, courtesy clerk, or customer service roles.
• Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
