Job Duties and Responsibilities of Deli Associate:
- Provide a pleasant greeting to visitors to establish a welcoming ambiance.
- Administer the handling of food stock, financial outlay, reduction of surplus, culinary practices, and visual arrangement.
- Ensure the food service area is in compliance with sanitation standards through proper cleanliness measures.
- Reach goals pertaining to food sales, including pizza, breakfast selections, and beverages.
- Instruct and empower team members to follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling food items.
- Form alliances with external partners to oversee and educate on food safety monitoring and training processes.
- Manage stock levels effectively and ensure proper rotation of food items.
- Conduct guest transactions with efficiency and a focus on superior customer experience.
- Assist the Store Manager or Guest Service Leader with any additional tasks that are assigned.
Qualifications and Experience of Deli Associate:
- It is mandatory to have completed high school or obtained a GED.
- Candidates must have completed six months of retail or food service employment.
- Experience of 1 year in retail, service, or restaurant is advantageous.
- While it is a positive attribute, a ServSafe certification is not a strict necessity.
- Skilled at fostering positive interactions with both guests and colleagues.
- Exhibiting a vibrant attitude, nimbleness in adjusting, and a cohesive teamwork mindset.
