Job Summary of Deli Associate:

Involves assisting in managing food operations, ensuring food safety and quality, and providing efficient, friendly service. This person helps lead the team, maintains standards for food presentation, and supports the Store Manager in creating a positive experience for guests and team members aligned with company values.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Deli Associate:

• Provide a pleasant greeting to visitors to establish a welcoming ambiance.
• Administer the handling of food stock, financial outlay, reduction of surplus, culinary practices, and visual arrangement.
• Ensure the food service area is in compliance with sanitation standards through proper cleanliness measures.
• Reach goals pertaining to food sales, including pizza, breakfast selections, and beverages.
• Instruct and empower team members to follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling food items.
• Form alliances with external partners to oversee and educate on food safety monitoring and training processes.
• Manage stock levels effectively and ensure proper rotation of food items.
• Conduct guest transactions with efficiency and a focus on superior customer experience.
• Assist the Store Manager or Guest Service Leader with any additional tasks that are assigned.

Qualifications and Experience of Deli Associate:

• It is mandatory to have completed high school or obtained a GED.
• Candidates must have completed six months of retail or food service employment.
• Experience of 1 year in retail, service, or restaurant is advantageous.
• While it is a positive attribute, a ServSafe certification is not a strict necessity.
• Skilled at fostering positive interactions with both guests and colleagues.
• Exhibiting a vibrant attitude, nimbleness in adjusting, and a cohesive teamwork mindset.
