Grocery Meat Handler

Role and Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent service and food promptly and with a positive attitude.
• Arrange, stock, and store products based on the established guidelines of the company.
• Execute given recipes, safety procedures, and policies in packaging, presenting, and exhibiting foods.
• Perform essential temperature evaluations and monitor product quality to ensure freshness and safety controls are in place.
• Maintain the neatness of sales areas, storage compartments, and refrigeration spots to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Meet health and company standards when washing and disinfecting cookware and utensils.
• Ensure that signage is in place, products are rotated, freshness is maintained, and merchandise space is allocated properly.
• Adhere to safety protocols when operating production equipment and utilizing cleaning solutions and sharp tools effectively.
• Execute cash register operations according to company guidelines.
• Assist in facilitating team functions by working collaboratively in a bustling, high-capacity setting.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Willingness to be on duty during weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, necessary for engaging with customers and coworkers.
• Aptitude for understanding product labels, shelf tags, educational materials, and notices.
• Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing activities, and collaborating well with team members.
• Ability to securely handle cleaning solutions, sharp tools, and production machinery.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach to task management and completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent program completion.
• Prior experience in food preparation or grocery retail.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines, cleanliness standards, and labor policies.
• Consistent demonstration of dependability and ethical behavior in previous work.
• Ability to manage fast-paced customer interactions and deliver excellent service.
