Role and Responsibilities:
The Grocery Associate plays a key role in providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining organized and clean departments, and ensuring consistent operating conditions. Responsibilities include:
Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly, courteously, and in a friendly manner.
Offer product suggestions to enhance the customer shopping experience.
Stock and rotate grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food items to ensure freshness and date control.
Restock shelves efficiently, minimizing waste and maintaining low supply costs.
Operate department equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Assist in receiving vendor merchandise and unloading truck deliveries in a timely manner.
Maintain awareness of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any illegal activities and report them to management.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding store operations and customer service.
Qualifications:
Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently, and follow English instructions.
Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
