Responsibilities of Deli Team Member:
The Deli Team Member at Sprouts Farmers Market is accountable for:
- Aiding patrons in making health-conscious food choices through the presentation of fresh and easily prepared meals
- Maintaining top-notch customer service standards and verifying the accurate preparation, packaging, and presentation of Deli products, all while upholding cleanliness protocols in the Deli department area
- Administering the restocking, maintenance, and reordering of products and exhibits
- Arranging customized requests and assembling decorative platters
- Performing duties that involve the use of deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other tools in accordance with the company’s standards and procedures
- Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the deli area and equipment involves activities such as organizing shelves and products, ensuring spill-free floors, removing hazardous debris from the ground, and sweeping regularly
- Logging, inspecting, and confirming products for the accuracy of transport, climate, and quality standards

- Undertake overall cleanliness responsibilities in the department, including sanitizing and tidying workspaces such as tables, floors, walls, and refrigeration units.
- Supervise the slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; aid in the maintenance of all tools to guarantee safe operation.
- Maintain adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and obtain and retain a Food Handlers certification
- Display adaptability to work in different temperature zones, encompassing both cold and freezing temperatures.
