Job Summary of Transaction Coordinator:
Operating a cash register and check-out counter efficiently and courteously, conforming to all front-end procedures and company policies, is part of a Transaction Coordinator responsibilities. Transaction Coordinator should also strive to ensure customer satisfaction through their prompt and friendly service.
Responsibilities of Transaction Coordinator:
- Conduct accurate and effective scanning of groceries.
- Spot the departments and modifiers that are not suitable for scanning.
- Integrated the scan and bag system to streamline operations and pack items in accordance with customer preferences.
- Verify the contents of the cash drawer before beginning work and maintain its safety throughout the shift.
- Handle payment media with accuracy and stay in line with the organization’s regulations on responsibility and financial tracking.
- Stick to the correct void procedures for accurate record-keeping.
- Determine the specific produce items and input their corresponding lookup numbers with accuracy.
- Enforce security regulations such as shoplifting prevention, rules on employee purchases, monitoring bottom-of-basket items, and managing informal information dissemination.
- Familiarity with the correct store supply procedures.
- Grasping the information presented in the weekly ad and Hot Sheet items.
- Exemplify superior customer service by appropriately acknowledging and expressing thanks to patrons.
- Upholding the rules and protocols articulated in the official Employee Handbook.
- Assist with general cleaning duties in the front portion of the house.
- Providing assistance with shelf restocking or facing tasks as necessary.
Qualifications of Transaction Coordinator:
- Must have dexterity in hands to be able to scan/key groceries.
- Must have strong communication skills to ensure excellent customer service.
- Strong mathematical skills required to run the registers.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty five (25) pounds up to forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Must be able to stand upright for the majority of your scheduled work shift.
