Job Summary of Retail Meat Clerk:

Retail Meat Clerk are responsible for keeping the pre-packaged meat section well stocked and orderly in appearance.Retail Meat Clerk will order and unload product, stock shelves and build displays; as required.Retail Meat Clerk will maintain a clean work area, follow all safety rules and perform other tasks as assigned.Other tasks to be performed may be in a meat prep area.They must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers.

Responsibilities of Retail Meat Clerk:

• Assist in the packaging and labeling of various meat products according to regulations
• Ensure the attractive presentation of products by stocking meat cases effectively
• Ensure accurate measurement, pricing, and packaging of assorted meat products
• Preserve the quality of products by rotating stock regularly and removing any expired items from display
• Consistently uphold the cleanliness of the meat counters, tools, and equipment as part of routine maintenance
• Support in the reception and storage of fresh meat deliveries
