Job Summary of Dairy Service Clerk:

The primary role of a Dairy Service Clerk is to oversee the maintenance of merchandise pricing, stocking levels, and display organization in the dairy department. This position entails activities such as monitoring inventory, arranging products in an orderly fashion, and adjusting prices where needed. Additionally, the Dairy Service Clerk must oversee product rotation to maintain freshness, validate expiry dates for correctness, and remove any items that are no longer suitable for sale.

Responsibilities of Dairy Service Clerk:

• Support in moving the cargo.
• Convey stock to designated areas for storage allocation.
• Unwrap packages and affix prices to goods with precision.
• Adhere to tag allocations when restocking store shelves to maintain product availability.
• Assist in the construction of store displays to attract customer attention.
• Maintain the rotation of perishable items and promptly eliminate expired products.
• Supervise the extent of faulty items.
• Ensure that the allocated section is adequately prepared before the scheduled work shift ends.
• Abide by the policies and protocols set for different departments within the organization.
• Provide a warm welcome to customers entering the store and stay observant.
• Observe the organization's dress code policy to maintain a tidy and professional appearance.
• Observe and follow all policies specified in the official handbook for employees.
• Initiative aimed at preserving prices and providing protection.
• Cleaning and organizing the sales and backroom sections.

Qualifications of Dairy Service Clerk:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
