Role and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include handling the intake and storage processes, optimizing product logistics, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

  • Handle functions related to the intake and storage of goods, including unloading deliveries, verifying with RF scanners, organizing items in specified locations, overseeing cross-docking operations, and selecting flow-through inventory.
  • Timely arrival at the workplace, appropriate grooming, attire, and readiness for all scheduled work shifts are crucial.
  • Observe OSHA and Whole Foods protocols when using a powered pallet jack or forklift.
  • Ensure that the work environment is secure, hygienic, and well-organized.
  • Observe and abide by all safety rules required by OSHA and the facility.
  • Report any accidents or injuries promptly to the Team Leader or Facility Leadership.
  • Receive and check truck deliveries, compare against bill of lading, enter into the warehouse management system, and stage for subsequent storage allocation.
  • Confirm that incoming goods comply with food safety regulations by conducting inspections.
  • Accurately assign a label to the item for organizing after verification.
  • Execute storage of items when necessary and uphold the upkeep of all relevant machinery.
  • Maintain accuracy in receiving, arranging, and selecting products that are in continuous flow.
  • Correctly position and organize cross-dock inventory during check-in.
  • Make sure that areas designated for receiving products, recyclables, and trash are unobstructed and organized.
  • Place environmentally-friendly materials and goods onto trucks for transportation.
  • Thoroughly accomplish all inbound paperwork with precision.
  • Make sure to be present at every team and facility gathering.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Having the physical ability necessary for the job.
  • Strong communication aptitude and skilled in cooperative team participation.
  • Capability to safely and efficiently handle all required machinery.
  • Ensuring that customer service expectations are met with vendors, customers, and team members.
  • Ability to finalize tasks with completeness, precision, and punctuality.
  • Grasping the quality objectives and possessing thorough product expertise in the context of WFM activities.
  • Demonstrated a dedicated and accountable approach to completing tasks.
  • Paying close attention to detail and maintaining accuracy in paperwork completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of receiving operations through one year of involvement.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Experience is taken into account with an hourly wage that spans from $22.00 to $39.60.
