Job Summary of Retail Beverage Associate:

In the capacity of a Retail Beverage Associate at Winn-Dixie, you are instrumental in delivering a secure, pleasant, and efficient shopping experience to customers. Your duties entail warmly welcoming, aiding, and appreciating customers courteously and promptly, suggesting product options as needed, and ensuring the freshness and appropriate stocking of all department items. Additionally, you must oversee customer compliance with age verification laws, handle department equipment with caution, and maintain a clean, orderly workspace. Positions are open for immediate recruitment.

Responsibilities of Retail Beverage Associate:

• Observe customers and check identification for age verification, identifying those who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring to prevent open containers from leaving the store.
• Deny the sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
• Provide continuous attention to customer needs, greeting, assisting, and thanking them in a friendly and courteous manner, and offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and proper date control, restock and use supply items efficiently to minimize waste, and operate department equipment and tools.
• Operate cashiering equipment accurately, recognizing all forms of tender and providing correct change when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and report any faulty equipment or hazards to management.

Qualifications of Retail Beverage Associate:

• One must have reached the age of 21 to meet the criteria.
• Fulfillment of TIPS training is a prerequisite for beginning the role.
• Capability to proficiently read, write, speak, and comprehend English, as well as follow instructions accurately.
• Fulfilling the requirements of pre-hiring drug evaluation and background examination is necessary.
• Following all the rules and procedures outlined by the company.
