Role and Responsibilities:
The Cash Attendant plays an important role in delivering a fast, accurate, and friendly checkout experience. This position ensures financial accuracy while offering dependable service that builds customer confidence and loyalty. Core responsibilities include:
Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers courteously; resolve or escalate concerns to management; and share information about specials or promotions when appropriate.
Cash Register Operation: Accurately process transactions using the scanning system; operate cashier equipment; accept all forms of payment; provide correct change; and support training for new cashiers when needed.
Product Stocking and Maintenance: Restock and organize front-end merchandise; return unwanted or misplaced items to the correct department; manage carts; and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
Loss Prevention & Compliance: Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or other violations; and adhere to all company safety, service, and security standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must meet company and legal minimum age requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization.
Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
