Dispatch Loader

The Kroger family of companies is currently in need of a Dispatch Loader to join the team at their distribution center. The main responsibilities include verifying and maintaining records of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, and directing merchandise to the appropriate processing areas. Role and Responsibilities:

The main task of a Dispatch Loader is to assist in the smooth and effective transfer of products within the distribution center:

• Scrutinize incoming deliveries, reject any items that appear to be compromised, and keep a record of any shortages.
• Liaise with shipping partners to resolve concerns regarding damages and inconsistencies.
• Check that the items received correspond with the quantities outlined in the purchase orders to validate the order.
• Receive merchandise through handheld technology and redirect them to the processing areas.
• Safely maneuver pallet jacks, lift trucks, and other material handling gear.
• Uphold adherence to company standards by documenting receiving activities with precision.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Qualifications for the position encompass a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of six months of distribution/service center involvement and six months of hands-on experience in order filling, or an equivalent combination of education and practical application.
• A minimum age of 18 years is necessary.
• Achieving a favorable result on a drug screening.
• Competence in executing tasks promptly within a fast-moving setting while emphasizing precision.
• Capacity to adjust availability for weekend work, any particular shift, and overtime as required.
• Competence in identifying common product packaging and spotting discrepancies.
• Acquaintance with the terms and procedures related to the intake process at distribution centers.
• Competence in the operation of a forklift and pallet jack, with the essential lift truck certification/license.
• Skilled in arranging and ranking tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the regulations, practices, and layout of the organization.
• Working in a company's distribution or service hub for six months.
