Role and Responsibilities:
As a Cook, your primary duty will be to craft high-quality food offerings for cold cases, fresh packs, salad bars, and hot bars while maintaining presentation and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include ensuring consistency, preserving freshness, and providing exceptional customer service aligned with Whole Foods Market's values and food safety protocols.
- Produce food items for cold cases, fresh packs, salad bars, and hot bars according to production plans and cooking instructions.
- Ensure all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for freshness, and rotated properly.
- Monitor food levels and restock as necessary.
- Arrive on time, appropriately dressed, and ready for scheduled shifts; attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
- Deliver exceptional customer support, promptly address inquiries, and demonstrate effective sales techniques.
- Enhance sales performance through proper preparation, storage, rotation, restocking, and display of products.
- Follow established protocols for Weights and Measures, sanitation, and safe operational practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment; ensure equipment, storage, and refrigeration meet cleanliness standards.
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks while ensuring signage and pricing accuracy.
- Report safety hazards and compliance issues immediately.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management at store, regional, or national levels.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong product knowledge and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Understanding of food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay ranges from $16.50 to $30.20, based on experience, for a standard 40-hour workweek.
