Role and Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will engage in activities like preparing and displaying food products, overseeing the freshness of goods available at the cold case and salad bars, and assisting in maintaining cleanliness and replenishing supplies. Upholding quality standards, compliance with safety guidelines, and delivering top-tier customer service will be at the forefront of your daily responsibilities.

• Organize and assemble food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars based on the production sheets.
• Abide by recipe guidelines when cooking to ensure the excellence and constancy of the served food.
• Properly mark, date, cover, monitor freshness of, and rotate all prepared items as required.
• Check food supplies regularly and restock promptly as needed.
• Be punctual for your shifts, maintain a professional appearance, dress accordingly, and attend all required training sessions and meetings.
• Provide exceptional customer assistance by promptly and courteously fulfilling customer needs and showcasing effective methods for promoting additional products.
• Boost sales by properly preparing, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products to attract customers.
• Observe established practices, including Weights and Measures, cleanliness, and safe operational procedures.
• Keep the working and shopping areas clean, sanitized, and secure, including walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Fulfill opening, midday, and closing tasks as instructed, maintaining the correctness of signage and pricing.
• Report immediately any safety issues and violations encountered.
• Execute supplementary tasks as required by store, regional, or national authorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or walking 6 8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Hand dexterity for gripping, precise movements, applying force, and moving objects.
• Physical movements including bending, twisting, crouching, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents.
• Working in temperatures up to 90°F.
• Ability to perform in wet or dry conditions.
• Availability for varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Competence with tools and machinery such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment; ladder use may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage ranges from $16.50 to $30.20 depending on experience.
