Role and Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Associate, you will deliver top-notch customer support and assist in the day-to-day operations of the bakery. Your duties include:

• Provide excellent customer support by welcoming and assisting customers with questions about bakery items
• Support the department manager in achieving sales and profitability objectives
• Maintain bakery displays by replenishing, rotating, and organizing items to ensure freshness and visual appeal
• Follow company guidelines to properly prepare, wrap, and label bakery goods
• Comply with quality control, food safety, and cleanliness standards
• Monitor product expiration dates and remove items that do not meet quality standards
• Assist with organizing and managing inventory, procurement, and product presentation according to instructions
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following company standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards and food safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently when needed
• Capability to handle, store, and transport bakery goods and materials safely

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment
• Knowledge of proper food safety and handling protocols
• Multilingual skills for effective communication
