Role and Responsibilities:
The Retail Deli Assistant plays an essential role in building customer loyalty by delivering outstanding service in the deli department. Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers warmly, provide polite interactions, and address their needs consistently.
- Product Knowledge: Offer suggestions and demonstrate expertise in deli products.
- Stocking & Rotation: Maintain freshness and accurate date control by stocking and rotating items efficiently, minimizing waste, and managing costs.
- Equipment Operation: Operate deli tools and equipment safely in line with company guidelines.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe; report hazards or equipment issues promptly to management.
- Reporting Issues: Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, property damage, or policy violations.
- Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain it.
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.
