Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary of Pharmacy Technician:

The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing efficient, accurate, and courteous service to customers. This role includes processing prescription orders, preparing medications, maintaining pharmacy cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician:

• Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and promptly.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service at all times.
• Process prescription orders following Federal and State laws and company guidelines.
• Review patient records to verify information and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with immunization services under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe pharmacy environment.
• Support inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
• Follow established procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance in all tasks.

Qualifications and Experience of Pharmacy Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred or required per state regulations.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy systems.
