Responsibilities of Front Counter Clerk:
- Offer responsive, effective, and amiable customer assistance through demonstrating genuine care, empathy, and tolerance in all customer dealings.
- Extend a friendly greeting and maintain a pleasant demeanor when interacting with clients, regardless of the location within the store.
- Familiarize yourself with the names of your customers and make a point to address them by name when interacting with them.
- Support patrons by accompanying them to products, retrieving items that are high up, aiding with the loading or unloading of heavy objects, relaying suggestions or inquiries, and elevating the shopping experience to the fullest extent.
- Ensure a prompt response when answering the phone, delivering exceptional and supportive service by processing customer requests.
- Assist customers with placing orders at the Market Grille.
- Engage in teamwork with fellow employees to promote customer satisfaction and maintain a harmonious work setting.
- Assess daily sales and get products ready accordingly.
- Ensure that a sufficient quantity of food is accessible through the implementation or creation of a production plan.
- Take out goods from the cold storage for cooking purposes; evaluate the freshness and viability of the items.
- Verify incoming products, stock items in appropriate locations, and examine invoices as necessary.
- Manage departmental cash registers, accept payments, and distribute change when necessary.
- Ensure that cleanliness is maintained and that the work area is organized.
- Ensure timely removal of garbage.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Comply with the company's guidelines and standards concerning conduct and clothing choices.
- Be present at work according to the agreed schedule.
- Wash dishes as required.
- Obtain products and resources on demand.
- Set appropriate prices for products for customers.
- Carry out deliveries as instructed.
- Provide assistance in different sections when necessary.

Qualifications of Front Counter Clerk:
- No formal education requirement.
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
- Ability to carry out detailed but simple written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to deal with a few concrete variables.
- Basic math skills including simple addition and subtraction.
- Ability to copy figures, count, and record information accurately.
- Ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.
Physical Requirements of Front Counter Clerk:
