Role and Responsibilities:

As a Deli Associate, you will provide exceptional service while preparing a variety of deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, and hot case food items. You will use multiple tools and equipment to prepare fresh, high-quality food that keeps customers coming back. Every day, you will inspire and guide customers, creating memorable experiences throughout their shopping journey.

• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting shoppers in the deli department with product questions and selections.
• Prepare, slice, weigh, and package deli meats, cheeses, salads, and other specialty items.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers, scales, ovens, fryers, and cash registers.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with company guidelines.
• Ensure products are fresh, appealing, and available for customers throughout the day.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet department goals and enhance the customer experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Take pride in completing work to a high standard, regardless of task size.
• Enthusiasm for food and its role in everyday life.
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to help customers and fellow associates.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a deli, grocery, or food service environment is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and passion for customer interaction.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this role is Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
