Job Summary of Retail Food Supervisor:
Ideal for a dynamic and collaborative individual who is dedicated to leadership and ensuring top-quality food services. Involves supporting food operations management, guaranteeing food safety and quality, and providing prompt and friendly customer interactions. This person plays a crucial role in team leadership, maintaining food presentation standards, and assisting the Store Manager in fostering a positive atmosphere for guests and employees that aligns with the organization’s principles.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Food Supervisor:
- Extend a warm welcome to guests to cultivate a hospitable atmosphere.
- Handle the oversight of food supplies, expenditures, discarding of leftovers, preparing dishes, and presenting meals.
- Keep the food service area clean and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
- Attain set benchmarks for food sales that include pizza, breakfast fare, and beverages.
- Help team members improve their skills in food preparation and safety protocols through coaching and training.
- Form alliances with external partners to oversee and educate on food safety monitoring and training processes.
- Ensure consistent stock levels and appropriate rotation of food supplies.
- Combine exceptional customer service with streamlined processing of guest transactions.
- Provide assistance to the Store Manager or Guest Service Leader by completing extra tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience of Retail Food Supervisor:
- The minimum educational requirement includes a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Successful candidates will have a minimum of six months of experience in retail or food service.
- Ideal candidates will have 1 year of experience in retail, service, or restaurant.
- Although recommended, a ServSafe certification is not obligatory.
- Comfortable communicating and engaging with guests and fellow team members.
- Exhibiting a vibrant attitude, nimbleness in adjusting, and a cohesive teamwork mindset.
