Role and Responsibilities:
As a Center Store Lead, you will assist the Center Store Lead in providing quality customer service and maintaining operational standards. You will help minimize shrink, support store productivity, and contribute to sales growth through effective execution of company policies and procedures.
- Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with focus on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- Provide courteous and helpful interactions with associates.
- Ensure Center Store (Grocery) Associates maintain a clean and neat appearance.
- Assist the Center Store (Grocery) Manager in training, scheduling, and maintaining a qualified stock crew.
- Ensure productivity goals of the stock crew are achieved.
- Stock products in compliance with policies and guidelines.
- Place only saleable merchandise on shelves.
- Maintain shelf allocations as indicated by item tags.
- Oversee ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and display of merchandise per policy.
- Use company tools such as ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System) and CAO ordering system effectively.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standards.
- Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and take corrective action on unsafe conditions.
- Report associate and customer accidents in accordance with Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge while maintaining a neat, clean appearance.
- Complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid courses successfully.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
- Problem-solving ability using technical information.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to perform job duties.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use computers and communication systems required to perform job functions.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Push or pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; operate a pallet jack with loads up to 2000 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and frequently walk short distances.
- Handle substances related to cleaning, packaging, fresh produce, plants/flowers, and household goods.
- Operate equipment including registers, lottery machines (where applicable), scanners, computers, and calculators.
- Perform reaching and grasping tasks frequently at waist level and occasionally above shoulder or below waist.
- Work in hot/cold environments for up to 20 minutes at a time.
- Meet established productivity standards.
- Sufficient vision to check IDs, invoices, checks, and written documentation.
Compensation and Benefits:
