Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs by greeting, assisting, and thanking customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Arrange, prepare, portion, and cook deli and bakery food items according to company specifications.
• Operate cooking equipment including chicken fryers, stoves, and rotisseries, ensuring proper and safe use.
• Sanitize workstations and equipment including fryers, rotisseries, hot cases, stoves, and utensils.
• Offer product suggestions to customers when appropriate to enhance their experience.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness, proper date control, and minimal waste.
• Operate department tools and equipment such as scales, printers, and cash registers.
• Follow daily merchandising standards including required varieties, case color, “ready by” times, and shelf life guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; report faulty equipment and safety hazards to management.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Change out pans, follow hot bar production guides, prepare product for self-service displays, break down hot cases, and monitor portion control.
• Accurately record statistics on hot food tracking charts.
• Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or any illegal or policy-violating actions to management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
